About the Mississippi Chapter

Meeting Practical Needs This Year - Our 2025 Priorities

In 2025, we are focused on expanding our reach and impact across Mississippi. This year, our goals include:

  • Expanding our Hot Meals Program to serve more than 500 plates each week to address food insecurity.

  • Growing our Community Garden Initiative by adding two new garden sites to increase access to fresh, healthy food.

  • Building an Emergency Assistance Fund of $50,000 to provide rental, utility, and transportation help for struggling families.

  • Advancing Neighborhood Revitalization by securing land, houses, and commercial properties for restoration to fight blight and create safe and affordable housing.

  • Expanding Chaplain Training to certify 20 new chaplains who will strengthen support for police, fire, and community crisis response.

  • Growing our Volunteer Network by recruiting 20 active volunteers to help with meals, outreach, and revitalization projects.

  • Community Warehouse and Supply Hub Project our new warehouse is over 9,000 sq ft of space to operate as a storage and distribution hub for essential goods. The center will ensure that families have consistent access to donated food (fresh and non perishable), clothing, shoes, baby items, hygiene products, tools, building materials, and gardening supplies, along with medical supplies. It will additionally function as a disaster response center, pre-stocked with necessary resources to support residents during emergencies and life crisis.
